
There are few details at this time, but a snowmobile driver with serious injuries was rescued Friday from a forest trail near Stonecliffe.
Renfrew County Emergency Services Chief Mike Nolan reported the story on his Twitter account Friday night.
Nolan reported that a a snowmobile rider crashed into trees “2km+ in the forest,” resulting in “serious injuries & fractures.”
Renfrew County paramedics accessed the scene “by sled & immediately stabilize (the) patient.”
“Sierra Team” paramedics later arrived with a rescue vehicle, supported the paramedics already in place, and safely extracted the patient from the bush trail.
Nolan concluded his account with the hashtag, #teamwork.
The name of the driver and their current condition has not been released.
