It’s a happy ending to a scary story.

A local woman and long-time local elementary teacher has been found safe after Ottawa Police issued a missing persons alert early Sunday morning.

Police said there was “concern” for the safety of Bonnie Raymond, 56, in a Facebook message posted at 7:36 am Sunday.

Just after 6 pm, Raymond’s husband Denis Goupil shared two comments on the Ottawa Police alert saying police found Bonnie and that she is safe.

“Thank you to the Ottawa police. You did a GREAT job,” Goupil said.

Posts regarding Raymond’s whereabouts were shared more than 3,000 times.

No further details are available around the circumstances of the police alert.
