
Three Ottawa Valley residents face a number of drug charges after a police check of a parked car in the city of Pembroke Friday.
Police say that n the afternoon of April 3, 2020 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol when they stopped to investigate a parked vehicle in the 300 block of Pembroke Street East.
“Officers observed drugs in the vehicle and arrested three people at the scene.”
As a result of this investigation Joshua Harrington, age 37 of Laurentian Valley Township, has been charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and Criminal Code (CC) charges:
- Possession of a schedule I for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Fail to comply with probation – two counts
Andrew Brunette, age 36 of Bonnechere Valley Township, has been charged with the following CDSA offences:
- Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance – hydromorphone
Alisha Lmaire, age 35 of Whitewater Region Township, has been charged with the following CDSA and CC offences:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – oxycodone
- Fail to comply with probation – two counts
All three accused were released to attend court on June 9, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
